Is originally from a small town on the south coast called Port Shepstone. She comes from a family of entrepreneurs so there was always lots of “business talk” around the dinner table. Even at a young age, she found the discussions intriguing.
Derona started her BCompt degree straight after Matric and went on to do articles at Mowat and Partners in Margate. Soon, she felt that the small town life was too restricting for her curious mind, so she made the 122km journey to Durban were she finished her degree and is currently studying towards a CGMA qualification (Chartered Global Management Accountant) through CIMA. It’s been 7.5 years since she’s been a part of the LFH family and it is being here that has reignited her passion for business. She takes great pleasure in working with individuals and businesses to develop and grow into order to reach their goals. She is a strong believer in people and in dreams, and that there are no limits. When she is not pondering on numbers, ideas and strategy, Derona enjoys dabbling in interior and fashion design.
